Opus Mallorca respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details you provide through our forms or by email/phone, such as name, email address, phone number and event details (date, venue, type of event).
  • Communications you send us, including enquiries, quote requests and correspondence.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website.
  • Cookie data, as described in our Cookie Policy / cookie banner.

3. Why we use your data

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes or proposals for events (sound, lighting, DJs, live music and technical production).
  • To manage and deliver contracted services, including planning and on-site coordination.
  • To send administrative communications related to your event or request.
  • With your consent, to send you occasional updates or marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • To improve our website and services through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on: your consent (e.g. contact forms, marketing communications); the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps taken at your request (e.g. preparing a quote); our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and improving our services; and compliance with legal obligations (e.g. invoicing and tax records).

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted third parties strictly where necessary, such as: technology providers that host our website or email (e.g. hosting, email delivery); subcontracted suppliers or freelance technicians involved in delivering your event, limited to the details required for coordination; and public authorities where required by law. Any third party acting on our behalf is bound by a data processing agreement.

6. International transfers

Where a service provider is located outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and quote data for as long as needed to respond to you and, if a booking proceeds, for the duration of the contractual relationship plus the periods required by applicable tax and commercial law (generally up to 6 years in Spain). If you do not proceed with a booking, we retain your enquiry data for a reasonable period to follow up, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing.
  • Request data portability, where technically feasible.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@opusmallorca.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).

9. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the site works correctly, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings or via our cookie banner where available.

10. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
